My Approach

I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns without fear of criticism or pressure to perform. At the core of my work, is a trusting therapeutic relationship, which allows us to thoughtfully understand how

trauma, stress, and relational experiences may be impacting your life.

Together, we focus on increasing insight, strengthening emotional

regulation, and developing coping strategies that feel realistic and

supportive of your nervous system.

As a trauma-focused therapist, I integrate evidence-based

therapeutic approaches tailored to your specific needs, goals,

and preferences. Therapy is collaborative and paced intentionally,

with attention to safety, stabilization, and long-term resilience;

rather than quick fixes. Through this work, we address underlying

challenges, build internal resources, and support meaningful

change. I am committed to supporting your well-being and

growth, and I am here to accompany you as you move toward

healing, self-understanding, and lasting personal transformation.

My Background

Hello, I'm Carter, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Los Angeles, California. I provide trauma-focused therapy for adults, adolescents, couples, and families, with an   approach that is grounded in attachment-based and trauma-            informed care. I am trained in EMDR therapy, an evidence-based treatment             that supports the processing and integration of traumatic experiences.

       My work is paced intentionally, with attention to safety, regulation, and the               therapeutic relationship—particularly for individuals impacted by complex or            developmental trauma. My clinical training was established at the Antioch                University Counseling Center, a nonprofit community mental health clinic in

          Los Angeles. There, I gained extensive experience providing therapy to                    individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds and with a wide            range of presenting concerns, including trauma, relational stress, and                        emotional dysregulation. I bring this foundation into my private practice,                  offering thoughtful, trauma-informed therapy that supports healing,                          resilience, and meaningful change.
